How to get victory over the devil

In this relay race called life, we are faced with good and evil every day.

We have a choice. We can allow devil to overpower us, assuming “everybody is doing it,” or “if we can’t beat them, we might as well join them.” We can crawl into a hole and hide, isolating ourselves from others to avoid the evil. Or, we can resist it.

The Bible tells us: “Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21

Although it is easy to cave in to the evil around us, with God’s help we can resist.

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7
