Do you drive your car until the meter stick is under the E? Have you tested the limits to see how far you can get without break down? Do you put $10 in the tank, when you know it takes $50 to fill it?
Kimberly James can relate. She was one of those people too. The day she felt ashamed someone would see her putting $4 in the gas tank, she realized this habit was a metaphor for her life. “I spent most of my life feeling like I was functioning on fumes, living with a ‘just enough’ mentality,” James says.
This memoir draws readers into the intimate details of how their “messes” collided with the love of God to catapult them into their purpose in life. “My ‘truth’, which has been painfully glorious, is why I KNOW that every time I should have been stranded on the side of the road, it was the Grace of God that was filling my tank,” James adds. “So I’ll ask again… What is filling your tank? or shall I ask who?”
Author, Kimberly James hopes that her life experiences will give hope to others who face their own series of challenges and disappointments. Her goal was to give something back that will leave a legacy of hope and triumph, and hopefully improve the lives of others. “Like me, so many are perplexed by their suffering and uncertain how to navigate through the fog” James says.
Running On G is special in many ways and will resonate with people of diverse backgrounds… young and old, male or female, married or single, believers and non believers but this book is a MUST READ for anyone who has suffered from the silent killer – sexual abuse. Stand and take authority over your life!
What readers are saying…
- I was not prepared for the level of raw truth. If I didn’t believe already, I would have opened my heart to let God heal my wounds and guide my life after reading this book.
- Your story has touched me in ways that I cannot even explain to myself right now.
- This book has given us something… something to laugh about, cry about, get mad about and definitely something to talk about.
- When I got to page 240, I found myself fighting back tears over Kimberly’s ability to extend forgiveness in ways that most would say is unforgivable, and I am not a man known to cry!
